Spring Break is coming up and hopefully I will be able to finish reading a few of the books that I have started. Right now I am reading two books: Blended: Using Disruptive Innovation to Improve Schools by Michael B. Horn and Gamify Your Classroom: A Field Guide to Game-Based Learning by Matthew Farber.
I’ve read Disrupting Class a few years ago and Blended gives actual application of the “disruptive” education that they talk about. I haven’t read much of Blended, but so far it has been a good read and there are also links to videos of blended learning in action in classrooms.
I haven’t read any of Gamify Your Classroom yet but am interested in how games, leaderboards and badges could be used in the classroom or with teachers as a professional development tool.
